Glasgow City Council – Education Services

In 2011, Gary Condie of Glasgow City Council’s ‘Determined To’ team identified a need for senior school students to engage with and gain more of an understanding of the various jobs and career paths that exist within the music industry.

A pilot programme began in 5 Glasgow schools in order to assess the viability and determine the reaction of both students and teachers alike…it was a resounding success! Behind The Noise is now in it’s third year working with GCC’s Partnership Team and closely with Education services to continually develop the programme. This year BTN will engage with around 150 students from 14 Glasgow schools.
